The easy answer is PICK UP THE KIDS ON TIME... always being picked up late is also humiliating for the kids who feel forgotten or unimportant. I think they should maybe allow 3 lates a year, for traffic and accidents... beyond that, they should charge $1.00 per minute for parents more than 10 minutes late...

Does anyone realize that the teachers have to go pick up their kids, some of who are in daycare and will have to deal with much harsher fees if they are late?

I have traveled with kids for many years. Our only bad episode was traveling south in the evening. As the plan went to land my son started screaming. His ears were hurting. At that moment his sister turned to him and threw up on him. The screaming escalated. "Get if off me"... "My ears" over and over. Several passengers rushed to my aid. This was their second flight of the day and they were tired and flying south at night can be especially bumpy. Had my kid gotten on the flight in a mood and not perfectly calm and reserved as my had, we would have been kicked off too... The screaming usually gets worse, not better on airplanes.

Let my husband iron his own shirt? Uh... yeah. He irons mine too... but most of my clothes ARE the wrinkle free type.. If I'm feeling generous though, I take his shirts to the dry cleaners for a wash, press, and starch.

Just because I said cashiers hate for you to check your receipts, probably because it causes grief, does not mean I think it is the cashiers fault.... sure they make mistakes, especially when they are tired, but the problems is usually more about pricing than anything else.

I think my mom made someone in our house lick a bar of ivory soap once and they promptly rinsed their mouth with water. Soap has lye and perfumes in it and it is poisonous.

Still swearing at parents should be punished.

My daughter had fried pies this evening at her homeschool Drama club to celebrate someone's birthday... that would never be allowed in public school.

Btw, have you ever heard a drama club/chorus group sing happy birthday? It was beautiful.

I must be that OTHER mom. The one who has NEVER purchased a costume telling the child that it is much more creative to try to make one on their own! I'm such a bad mom!... but richer for it.
