This was the "trick" I used to get through college with good grades. I took the courses I most feared alone during the summer, often alone. That way I could focus on my other classes during the school year. So often, one class gets the bulk of the attention when it is difficult, and makes what should be easy A's, effortless B's.

My husband works out of town on Monday through Thursday, arriving back at home late Thursday. On Friday he work remotely, so I use that day to do as much as I can on things due over the weekend. This is so we can play all day Saturday and go to church together on Sunday. If he leaves on Sunday, I get back to work. If he leaves Monday morning, I try to squeeze in a few more hours of together time.

In short, I know what you mean.
