Too true, even the computers we use to homeschool need to be replaced every 24 months.

Wives Who Work From Home - Yes Honey, I Do Have a Job - Blog Entry

I have this problem on and off. When hubby forgets my value, I put the money I make on strike. I just let the money I make sit in the bank for a month and build up. I don't care what we need to buy. I don't care if we have no food. At the end of the month, I show him how much money I made and then go clothes shopping for myself. Drastic, but doing this once a year or so definately gets his attention.

Likewise when he complains that I don't keep the house well... I stop keeping it up at all! Whoever created passive agressiveness was genius.

Who is Responsible? - Blog Entry

I agree completely. Unfortunately I have found that the life of the church is strongly tied to the children's ministry. I think it is hard for parents who haven't been raised up to raise up a child. Sometimes a parent needs time to get his or her act together first. Also many families are also led to church by their children. In these cases, you will definitely will want a strong children's ministry.

Oh, and WELCOME!

It is a possibility that the person is being sensitive and defensive, but it isn't what the kids say about each other that worries me. When forced to defend homeschooling, I have known a few of people whose comments can be considered low blows. (though probably true)

Val, curious, when you skip around in Saxon, do you not do the practice questions as you may not have covered all the material on them?

My son worked with a tutor a couple of years ago who skipped around Saxon, it was a mess. A guest blog on Saxon would be great! I'd really like to know more about it, especially since so many people love it.
