Kids have so much homework because so much time is wasted in school... when else are they going to reinforce the concepts introduced in school? Fix the problems in the classroom, and less homework will be necessary.

By middle school, parents are seen as the enemy to thier kids and idiots as well. By comparing my relatives public schooled kids to my homeschooled kids I have to wonder if this is not reinforced in school.

I have to remind my kids not to hold my hand or hug me in public so other kids don't make fun of me. At 10 and 12, they don't seem to need or want space... yet.

It needs to be put on the hair after each wash, and whenever it looks dry, (it will also feel brittle (like damaged ends feel)

African American hair is fuzzy by nature. If the amount of "fuzz" seems to be more than other African American Kids, then you need a hair oil/pomade/grease. Look in the black hair care section of the grocery store.

My neighborhood association and my husband would have my head... I remember hanging out clothes in the summer when I was a teen and they would dry just as fast as with any old clothes dryer!

I spent alot of time in Catholic school, copying from the history book... I think we copied from all the history books every year... then we took tests... that was it. It helped my writing, but not my history facts.
