I can't believe I used to eat Ramen Noodles with Ketchup...now the thought of it makes me sick. But I had to pay my way through college and food was on the bottom of the list.

We follow these rules without fail. Something else to remember, is that calorie wise, most restaurant meals are a full day's calorie allowance... it is not only smart for the wallet to split meals, but it is smart for the waste line.

I wouldn't say that little girls should always wear shorts under dresses... sometimes it's just too hot or makes the dress look bulky. However, if they are running and playing in the dresses, it is a good idea. For my daughter, until she was about 5, I put cute little bloomers under her dresses... Even at 13, I require bike shorts under the shorter skirts. It's actually a cute fashion statement.

Do You Take Your Kids to Funerals? - Blog Entry

I have only taken my kids to the funerals of close family members. I have offered them the opportunity to go to others, but they have declined. At 13 and 15, they can make their own decision.

Parents and Public Restroom Problems - Blog Entry

My husband took my daughter into the mens room until she was about three... After that, if there was no unisex bathroom, he would stand outside the ladies room and call her name every 30 seconds. It was probably creepy to women inside, but it worked. I took my son into the ladies room until he was five or six. After that I asked him to hold it until he got home for the next few years. Some horrible things have happened in men's rooms in our area to boys as old as 10 or 11.
