Can a parent send proof of a natural remedy instead of RID type poisions? I have never had to deal with lice, I think because I keep oils in our hair and apply heat after washing to straighten it, but just in case, I have a list of natural remedies I can use. My kids are older, but my son has TONS of hair and it worries me.

Regarding class trips. Alot more goes on then parents and teachers are aware of. I went on a weekend church retreat when I was in 5th grade, and never spend another night away from home until I left for college. I was sexually harrassed and ridculed by other kids, and dismissed by adults for over reacting.

Needless to say, overnight trips that young make me uncomfortable.

I am married to someone like that. We are late to everything. When I try to rush him, we argue. So now when it is really important, I lie about what time we have to be places.

Thank you for following up on this story. I had not come across any resolution to date. Why week long trips are taken by school children floors me. I believe parents fall for it out of peer pressure of not wanting to look more protective than the next kid.

I always wore an apron growing up, and seldom ruined clothes... Currently, I need to throw out half the items in my closet due to stains. Excellent article.

My neice and nephew have gone to school in GA that start taking overnight trips as early as grade 5. It makes me very uncomfortable. I think the schools are asking for trouble taking overnight responsibility for kids that young.

My kids started using it in 2nd and 4th grade and used it through 6th grade. They never really got into the playground, but in the earlier years thought the curriculum was like playing!

I have to agree, especially since it is Time4learning that got us to this point in my kids education. When I review my top 5 complete curriculums, you better believe it will be at the top of my list.
