When he was younger, I would never chatise him for tattling since he was just telling the truth as he saw it. Now I just tell him he needs to work these things out with the other kids. He really gets upset when he sees kids getting what they want by not following rules, especially when he would never consider breaking rules. We are working on getting him to question and bend rules. Would You Put Your Child in a Beauty Pageant?26 Mar 2007 10:24 AM My daughter competes in pageants. Actually she competes in one pageant. Last year she did the local pageant, and then got invited to nationals. That is more than enough for one year. (some girls do at least 1 a month... that worries me) Reasons... 1. she wanted to: I made her wait until I thought she was old enough to understand what she was asking for. 2. we homeschool: more interaction with children her age 3: She wants to do it again: She came home from the last pageant and started practicing for the next. Our experiences were good, though we witnessed childen having bad experiences. Just like education, however, I must say that the experience is only as good as the parental guidance and preparation.
