I hope it works out well... when my kids were in a small private school, before public school, they were better understood too.

You know... your boys have a unique advantage. If a black person insinuated that their kids was having racial bias problems, people would accuse them of over-reacting. Your saying it however, makes it difficult to ignore.

My kids got thier first laptops last year... at age 9 and 11. My son got a new one this year at age 12... long story. I could say it was because they homeschool, but we probably would have purchased them anyway.

Internet, of course is moderated.

My parenting choices in the mid 1990's caused all-out brawls among my relatives! They had me so tuckered out, I didn't bother having the breastfeeding and other "natural" decisions with others!

ps. I forgot to add that many African American reject American names to reject thier "slave names"... I just wish that in that case they would research and use real African Names

Ed, you owe me umpteen bazillion chocolate kisses! As far as making up names are concerned... it is this world that makes the names undesirable. I try not to "hate the playa" but "hate the game" instead! Meanwhile... when in France...

Sounds like God was giving out first names! As for the name changes, my African American Children have names that will not label them on paper... unless then check the little box. Thier middle names are after family members.
