An Odyssey in the Psalms: Psalm 16

When we are reading this psalm, in between lines, we can perceive what the communion of Jesus with his Celestial Father had to be. What David felt in his soul, was of the same nature of what Jesus actually lived.     It is to what God is inviting us to, his arms wide open: to have communion with us, to be in complete relation with us, just the way He was with Jesus.

Potty Training?

How do you know when your child is ready to be potty trained? I think that most kids begin potty training in the 2-3 range, but how can you tell when the time is right for your kid? Then, when you do decide that it's time, how do you go about actually potty training them? Do you use a rewards system?

How do you Discipline a Child?

How do you discipline a 2/3 year old, as opposed to a 9/10 year old? Obviously the cognitive stage of development plays a major role in the discipline style, but what should you actually do depending on the age of your child? If you have children, what has worked for you? Have you had to change your "style" as your child has grown?

Should we adopt another?

I married the man of my dreams (for the most part) over 7 years ago.  We became greatly discouraged that we weren't pregnant within the first 6 months.  Fast forward six years. After multiple surgeries, months of hormones (not consecutively), and a really great ferility doctor we found ourselves adopting a sibling group of 4 children.

Public vs. Private School?

What are your views on public vs. private school? I do not have children but within the next 5-10 years would like to. I was curious what thoughts there were regarding public and private school? While growing up, I attended a new public school in my town.

New Year

So here we are in 2009...and it doesn't look like a great year so far. We're hoping to get the kids into some activities soon, but with Matt getting laid off we're not sure how that's going to play out. There were so many things that we were going to do this year and now we've just had the rug pulled out from under us. Jackson is growing so big. He's so funny.
