My kids LOVE VTs, and so do my DH and I! Though I am surprised that the thought didn't occur to Phil Vischer that there would have to be so much editing out of "GOD" and the other good things VTs are known for in terms of being a Christian show. After all, on a major network, the execs aren't going to stick their necks out in such a way as to DEFEND a Christian show, so they will take the easy way out and delete all of those things. As far as what to do about it, I feel about it about the same as with public school. All that networks and public schools alike look at is numbers, because the amount of people equal dollar signs. If enough parents who object to the content of the "revamped" VTs and boycott the show, it's likely that the show will get pulled. It's a losing battle to try to convince the network to change the show back to what it's supposed to be, and won't happen. Thank you for writing this, Michele!
