Freebies and Money Makers at CVS - Blog Entry

25 Jul 2008 10:15 AM

It's hard dealing with CVS sometimes. Each store manager has a different opinion of how coupons should be handled. I have made it very clear to my managers that I do not have a problem going to another store if I can't use the coupons. Fortunately, I live in an area that has lots of stores.

If they have to ring up the item, then we should be allowed to use a coupon on it. They are supposed to accept manufacturer and CVS coupons for the same transaction. I give them the CVS coupons and then the manufacturer coupons so that my total is still high enough to accept the CVS. I hope this helps.

Bare Feet Season - Blog Entry

I would add playgrounds to the list where shoes should be worn. My kids were playing on the playground. The 2 year old took off his sandals to play on the slide. Before I could get to him his feet hit the black rubber and started burning. He started running to get away from the pain, so I had trouble getting to him to pick him up. By the time I did, his feet were blistered from the burn. I was not a good ending to the park day.

Two of our favorite things to do is to go to the beach and head out to the park. Its free and the kids get to burn off lots of energy. Sometimes we pack sandwiches and make a picnic out of it. I miss being able to go berry picking. There isn't too many u-pick farms in Central Florida.

Freebies at Target - Blog Entry

I hope they still let you use the coupons. I hate when stores don't allow it, because essentially they are making money off that coupon. They only allow you to take .97 for the coupon, but they still return it to the company for the $1. I have heard of some stores fixing the coupon price as you check out so you can still use it, just not receive the overage. Good Luck!!!

We don't have anyone that doubles coupons either. I normally buy one paper for $1.50 on Sunday. One of our major printers will sell their papers after Tuesday for .30 so if there are a lot of coupons, I might buy an extra. I get most of my coupons from coupon trains. We trade back and forth and I am able to get extras of the ones I use the most. Plus, I print many of them off the internet, which is free. I have heard others talk about dumpster diving, but I just can't get the nerve up to try it.

De-Cluttering Boot Camp: Finding Time - Blog Entry

I do the toy sorting while my son is playing. He loves when I sit on the floor with him and "play". In the meantime, he finds all sorts of new stuff to play with.

I look forward to reading your future blogs on this. We moved to a new home about four months ago and I felt like we brought the clutter with us as well. I have manaed to unpack most of the house and put everything else into a spare room, which is supposed to become my office. I really want my office so this is my incentive. I also want to get it done before the new baby arrives, which is due Sept 22. So bring on the help. I need it desperately!!!

Fox News Blasted for Calling Michelle Obama Degrading Name - Blog Entry

Don't these comments have to do with respect? How can we teach our sons and daughters to respect each other if they can sit and watch an intelligent(?) program like the news and hear someone being referred to as a "baby mama"? Does that show respect for women in our country? Fox news has been known for their sensationalism, but when they are dealing with a topic such as electing the next president, you would think they would show a little more class and respect than they have.
