What's around the next creative corner?15 Oct 2006 03:43 PM Good article, Heather. Not only boredom, but a key problem with routine tasks is that they literally don't allow us to exercise our brains as much. Our brains are wired to process new information, learn new things, or at least deal with same ones at enhanced challenge levels, and if we don't, whole parts of our brains are underutilized. Brain Fitness: Understanding Why We Need It16 Sep 2006 09:04 AM Dear Heather. Great post. As well as your June one where you discussed what we can be doing to exercise our brains at the same time we exercise our bodies, and wrote that "Another great way to stimulate your mind while working out is to workout with a partner. Conversation can not only wake you up and keep you motivated, it can help you hone your mind and prep yourself for a day of tasks." I think you'd be interested in our blog entry titled "Brain Teaser: what happens in our brain when...", http://sharpbrains.wordpress.com, and in the content overall. Please keep the good work to make everyone aware of why exercising our brains is so important. Kind regards, Alvaro |
