You're right, Valorie, all kids are very different. Some homeschooled children are even way ahead of those that take part in public education. No matter how well a parent, or even a teacher, teaches, it depends in large part on the child's desire and readiness to learn. You have the luxury of adapting to your child's readiness, instead of feeling like you have to push to meet arbitrary milestones, which is one more benefit of homeschooling, IMO. :o)
