Guiding a Loved One to the Cross - Blog Entry

Excellent, MJ. Judging and condemning people usually isn't the best idea if you want to show them the way to Christ. Never give up on those you love, even if it takes years. God can and does work miracles. Sometimes, there are only baby steps at a time, but that doesn't mean God isn't working in their lives.

Apparently, there are quite a few couples that meet at work and they go on to have great relationships. However, some caution is advised, mainly because of the reasons you noted. Thanks, Angie!

I believe it takes good parents rather than a village to raise a child, but a little help can't hurt. I think this is a cool idea, especially now that I have a child who will soon be a licensed driver!

We have two October birthdays also! They are near the beginning of the month instead of the end, and we do have the whole fall fest/harvest thing coming up at church. I just think it's neat how different people in different areas have fun or celebrate... Thanks for responding, Megan.

Wisconsin Legislator Calls for Teachers to Carry Guns in School - Blog Entry

Kaye and Surkis both make valid points, IMO. I don't really know about arming teachers. Perhaps a guard or other member of the staff could be trained sufficiently and could be armed to protect students. I do belief that law abiding armed citizens save lives. You just won't hear much about these stories because they aren't in line with the gun control agenda. Gun control isn't about guns, it's about control. It limits the law abiding citizen's ability to protect him or herself and family, but does nothing to keep guns out of the hands of madmen and criminals.
