Perhaps a guard or other member of the staff could be trained sufficiently and could be armed to protect students. I do belief that law abiding armed citizens save lives. You just won't hear much about these stories because they aren't in line with the gun control agenda. Gun control isn't about guns, it's about control. It limits the law abiding citizen's ability to protect him or herself and family, but does nothing to keep guns out of the hands of madmen and criminals.
