Post Christmas Quiet - Blog Entry

A hot bath? What's that? I'd settle for a shower that lasts more than 7.5 minutes without the water running cold, LOL.

Calgon, take me awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!

Frugal Kitchen Towels - Blog Entry

Great tip. I found this out by accident. We were going on a camping trip and stopped at an auto center for some things for the camper. I grabbed a pack of terry towels at 3 for $1.00 so I'd have some extras (knowing they'd get rough treatment "out in the wild" LOL). They were great and I went back and bought more for the house. They work well for everyday hand towels in the bathroom too...

Seven Days 'til Christmas - Blog Entry

That's why I like to stagger chores (theirs and mine) between fun activities. We like Christmas movies, from sentimental to funny, so we make time for them between other things. Of course, there has to be time for just good old play and even being silly. In the times that we aren't able to play, it helps to have fun stuff for the kids to do. There are lots of ideas in the Fun blog. Happy Holidays.

Politically Correct Storybooks - James Finn Garner - Blog Entry

Secret Pillows and Taming Winter Throws - Blog Entry

I'm like you... I like the cozy feeling of lots of pillows, but I look for economical ways to add to the pile (and it doesn't hurt to be able to stash other stuff at the same time). ;o)

This is a good idea. I don't have that many throws, but beach towels, old baby blankets, and folded up sheets that are not in use work too. :o)

John Kerry's "Joke" No Laughing Matter? - Blog Entry

17 Dec 2007 11:04 AM

To be quite honest, galebdriver, many of my opinions concerning the war have changed since this article was written (although I still don't agree with the way John Kerry tends to conduct himself). That said, I do find myself questioning more and more...

Any troops who do behave improperly should of course be punished, but I can't help but feel for those scared young men and women you mention. I believe leadership (or lack thereof) is where most of the blame lies....
