"Taste of Chicago"-The Ultimate Food Festival

24 Jun 2006 09:39 AM

I am from Chicago, and I have enjoyed the Taste on many occasions. A great party, and great food. I can almost smell bbq turkey legs, but I miss Chicago pizza the most. Gino's East... mmmm. Anyway, thanks alot for making me hungry, Michele! ;o)

One tip... If you go to the Taste of Chicago, go with someone that has a healthy appetite and share everything. Otherwise, you'll be stuffed before you barely get started and you'll miss out on lots of goodies.

Secret Shopper?

Thanks for the input, Valorie. I have heard of mystery shoppers along the line you referenced. I think it is a bit different, but I still think it would be a fun way to make a little extra cash. I agree that it doesn't seem like a viable option for making a living.

Whose Home is This?

That's a shame, Heather. It almost feels like those who want to be law abiding citizens are punished while lawbreakers are being rewarded. It's just backward.

My heart goes out to our soldiers and this is a simple, but active way to show appreciation. Thanks, Andi!

Whose Home is This?

Thank you for sharing your personal experience, Anna. I believe that it is people like your husband, those who want to do the right thing, who deserve simpler access to citizenship. That is one of the reasons I feel so strongly about this issue. Why should people like your husband have to jump through hoops while others -the ones who break the law- are being coddled?

Smart Spin Storage System

Wow, Nicole, three? Awesome. They would make handy containers for crafting, etc. Great tip! I love mine too. I'm going to start giving them as shower and housewarming gifts. I'm also giving one as a birthday present to a friend who is a single mom and can really use things that make life easier!

Making the Most of Your Garage Sale

That's great, Nicole. De-cluttering is a good feeling and even better when you make some cash in the process! Thank you for your kind words.

Making the Most of Your Garage Sale

Libby! I can relate. I am always sorting and trying to get rid of more junk. I frequently take stuff to a local drop box, but if I actually go to the trouble of having a yard sale, I want to make some money honey. :o)

I need to have a sale myself, but I'm not quite that motivated yet... Good luck with yours!
