My friend Rachel passed away and left the biggest hole in my heart. I still miss our visits, our together time and her interesting stories. The behaviors that have manifested in our little ones take a long time to alleviate, if they ever go away completely! Mine still have a tendency to overdo. When we first got Randy, I would set their gummy bear vitamins out, prebrace days, and one morning he ate 12 of them before I realized it! He has a tendency to overindulge in anything he likes a lot. We constantly reinforce, it will be there tomorrow, you don't have to eat it all at once. And of course there is Daniel's hoarding. Saturday Daniel just collapsed into tears and wails,for no apparent reason. We were shocked and unaware he was having any emotional problems, other than the obvious, his tears were wrenching and he refused to be comforted at all. Randy just stood there observing, no reaction to his little brother's plight. The next day it was Randy's turn. He flew into a rage about his mother's drug abuse. Wailing and screaming in his room It was pretty nerve racking, to say the least. They have since stopped the extreme emotional rants, thank God. It took awhile though. Art Want to Stay Healthy? Wash Those Hands - Blog Entry15 Jan 2007 08:24 AM Being in the food service industry for 34 yrs., attending certification classes with the health dept. every 2 yrs., and having a mother that reiterated daily, cleanliness is next to Godliness, I can certainly relate to the dilemma of getting kids to wash theri hands.
