Living the Good Life - Blog Entry

Ed, I want the boys to read Everything I have journalled about their lives with us. Well, almost everything. Trust me, Randy was sooo relieved when the dr. walked in. He was ready for that discussion to be over! It was much calmer on the way home. I can imagine how you felt going from church to the hosp. Thank goodness he was ok and I'm assuming truly learned his lesson. Prodigal children....sigh. Artcraft

Being a Mother Bear - Blog Entry

I can so relate, Kristyn. Sometimes I have to evaluate my motives and decide whether I am being an overprotective mom or simply doing my job. There is no feeling of fierce protection like a mother displays when she feels her young are in jeopardy. Artcraft

Child Killer Executed in Texas - Blog Entry

11 Jan 2007 09:22 AM

I also live in Texas. I have a hard time with capital punishment, but not in this case. I would be appalled and sickened if Andrea Yates were given the death penalty, but didn't blink an eye when Grenadas was. Doesn't make since does it? They both are child killers. All I know is, my heart had a "gut" feeling that this man deserved what he got because of his abusive history and his unmerciful slaughtering of that child. Andrea Yates had no prior history of violence. They both suffered from severe mental illness, but Grenadas was chronically violent. I just have to leave it to God to decide; it's all beyond my ability to comprehend. Art
