Sometimes I have to evaluate my motives and decide whether I am being an overprotective mom or simply doing my job. I would be appalled and sickened if Andrea Yates were given the death penalty, but didn't blink an eye when Grenadas was. Doesn't make since does it? They both are child killers. All I know is, my heart had a "gut" feeling that this man deserved what he got because of his abusive history and his unmerciful slaughtering of that child. Andrea Yates had no prior history of violence. They both suffered from severe mental illness, but Grenadas was chronically violent.
