When we first got the boys, if it wasn't dehydrated soup, they wouldn't eat it. Veggies...out of the question, except for corn and green beans. Since then we have put this rule in place. The one bite is the first bite of the meal, while they are still hungry, as you suggested. They don't always like everything, but they have developed a taste for many foods they wouldn't have normally eaten. Good blog. Artcraft Make your own TV Dinners - Blog Entry26 Jan 2007 04:16 PM Jennifer this article reminded me of making dinners for my dad when he was elderly but still able to live home alone. Every week I would prepare homemade meals for him and put them in the divided, covered dishes to freeze. All he had to do was pull it out of the freezer and nuke it and he had a homecooked meal. He loved it. I enjoyed cooking for him and knowing he ate a nutritious meal for dinner. I have introduced the boys, including my bio son, to oldies, light classical, of course! the Beatles, swing, etc. I want them to know the true flavor of music from today and yesterday. You have a whole lot to introduce your boys to, as far as ethnic music goes. There is sooo much history and great music that came from Motown. Bet they would enjoy learning about the history of AAs in music. Think of the great tunes you would get to revisit, Martha Reeves, Smokey Robinson, Jackie Wilson, Sly and the Family Stone, The Commodores, The Four Tops, Sammy Davis,Jr. I could go on and on.
