Bio

Angela Shambeda lives in southern Maryland with her engineering husband plus two rescue pets. One's a dog named Chihiro and the other's a cat named Cole. Though she's not quite ready to expand her family yet, she wants to learn all she can about this new family life, and is excited to do so with and through the community at families.com. Angela has been writing and getting published since high school, where she worked both for an award-winning school newspaper and as a contributor to the teen section of the local newspaper. In college her works appeared online and in print for college publications and two local and special-interest magazines. After graduation she expanded her experience as a copyeditor for a medical journal. Angela is hard-pressed to pick a favorite Disney movie, but if pushed she would say it's Beauty and the Beast. As a little girl she would close her eyes and wish furiously that, upon opening them, she'd discover herself in the library at Beast's castle. She's been on a lifelong quest to visit libraries that compare. The ones that she's found so far include the New York Public Library, Library of Congress, and the reading room at the British Museum.
