The Jealous Single Friend

Sherry Holetzky obviously thinks she is better than everyone else because she is married (as if that is some kind of rare achievement); that single people are beneath her devious and calculating and that they have nothing better to do than be jealous of her and try to destroy a marriage. She says there is "nothing wrong" with maintaining friendships with single people after you are married yet has to clarify that after your wedding single people are suddenly not "real" friends.

My friends are not different people after I got married, and I am not somehow better or above them. Being married is not something to lord over someone else; it is a different chapter in your life. Sherry is just too smug to realize that her single friends are most likely NOT jealous of her, they probably dropped HER since they were tired of hearing her brag and making them feel inferior. Before I was married, my married friends used to assume they were somehow better. It showed me who MY real friends were. Now I have been married ten years, so Sherry- a reminder- all married people were single once. Let's not forget that.
