God is eternally existent in 3 Persons, one nature--God the Father, God the Son (Yeshua or Jesus the Messiah), and God the Holy Spirit. His name, which transliterated is YHWH, is not normally pronounced. No one knows the correct vowel pointings in the Hebrew because the Jews long ago stopped pronouncing or writing His name with the vowels out of reverence for His Holy Name. So they used the vowel pointings for the word "Adonai" which means "Lord/Master." So we don't know how His Name is pronounced. Most Rabbis believe it is "Yahweh," but because they don't pronounce it, it kind of doesn't matter too much. Many Jews today call God "Ha Shem" meaning "The Name." I'm curious as to why you call God only Jehovah, and why you don't mention Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) or the Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) in your blog entry. |
