When Prayers Aren't Answered - Blog Entry

25 Sep 2011 09:54 PM

Thanks everyone for your comments on this article also for prayers Trying2BManofgod. I am no longer writing for families.com, but just wanted to tell you the end of that story.I have gone though months of pain and eventually aftr much prayer went in for spinal suregery. God provided the right doctor and a I am almost pain free. Certainly way better than before and back to doing some of the things I love though I will never play tennis again. But i have been amazed and humbled at the response of prayer that has gone up for me and some of that from people I have never met. When I walked back into church after 5 months I was welcomed with love and tears, and i am now back leading the singing which I love doing, though God provided wonderfully in the time I was unable to. While in hospital and as I have talked with others since I have been able to testify to God's healing and faithfulness and my own calm as I went in for back surgery since i knew I was covered on prayer. What an awesome God we have. my husband and I have reinstituted a morning prayer time together an it is such a blessing. So we call see in all things God truly does work for good for those who love Him.

I had a chuckle when I read this. When I first met my husband I was the football fanatic and he had never seen AFL (Australian Football), only Rugby league. He ended up watching some games with me. Now we both sit down together regularly to watch AFL games and he is as passionate as I am.

How sad that people have that attitude because someone is a different colour or race. The best thing you can do is as you are doing, prove them wrong by showing them an interacial marriage that works.

Interesting point mommyteaches about being two to blame when infidelity happens, because it means needs are not being met. Most times I agree that could be the case.
