How Can You Tell if You Are Really a Christian? - Blog Entry

I find it hard too, which is why I need God's help. But with a command we don't have a choice, so we have to then say 'God , help me. I can't do it on my own.' Even then at times it is not easy. But the the Christian life isn't. But I can't imagine living any other way.

What Would Wake You Up to What's Important? - Blog Entry

Lovely to hear you say that, Courtney. You've been on my mind a lot lately. Sometimes it takes something drastic to make us realise what is important. Glad it wasn't more serious.

Hi Rich., I tried to reply to your message you sent recently but it wouldn't accept the message I tried to send and told me 'The following users were not found: Rich Andrews' Any suggestions? I went to the link and couldn't figure out what to dot here either. I'm a computer dumb bunny. (grin), that's why I'm trying this.

Cupcakes Instead of Wedding Cake? - Blog Entry

Our daughter and son in law went with the cupcake idea for their wedding. They also had them in between the ceremony and the reception so people who were not invited to the reception (due to cost and having to keep numbers down)were still able to feel part of it. She had several friends volunteered to make the cakes and ice them and they were then all piled onto a tiered stand provided and they cut the top one. It also meant they had several types of cakes including gluten free cakes for those like me who can't tolerate wheat and gluten. It worked well and people loved the idea. It also reduced cost considerably as wedding cakes are overpriced like most things to do with weddings.

we have two paintings on canvases that we given to us last Christmas by our young grandchildren. I've written about it here http://christian.families.com/blog/all-it-takes-is-a-word. The grandchildren were delighted on a recent visit to see them hanging on the wall.

Exactly! They only want woemn to make the choices they deem as the right choices. Not those that might actually benefit others and not just themselves. A choice to stay home and raise children is a choice that will benefit society, I vbeleive, more than the woman going out to work and leaving her kids to someone else to raise. If I'm old a fashioned I don't care. I've seen the proof of positive parenting in my life and that of my adult offspring.

I have the soundtrack to the Student Prince too and the DVD, though he was not in the film. Edmund Purdom was and they used Lanza's voice. He was considered too overweight for the part at the time apparently. One of my favorite songs of his comes fom this movie,' I'll walk with God.' I have always loved his voice. It's so full and rich.

My books, 'Karaoke Kate' and 'Red Alert' are available in USA. Thanks for your comments. Yes, both my husband and I have been inlvoved in Christian ministry for a long time, probably about 35 years. I also doubt I would be writing without his encouragement. We were teenagers when we met and he is still the love of my life. He is retired http://christian.families.com/blog/making-a-major-decision1 these days -from work but not Christian ministry. We enjoy teaching a class together teling kids about Jesus at the local school each week. I'm so thankful that opportunity is still available to us in Australia.
