Iconic Sex Symbols - Part 2 - Blog Entry

Now, we're on the same page. I was a huge Elvis fan when young. Saw all his movies even though some of the later ones were forgetable. I still love to listen to his songs. I have a CD of his gospel songs that I play a lot. I remember the young Elvis. These days it's more likely to be George Clooney I think is pretty cool!

Share the Blessing - Blog Entry

What a lovely idea! Thanks for the tip. I think it's like that old hymn about 'count your blessings, name them one by one , ' and see what the Lord has done. I'd suggest it's a good exercise for each of us to do each week. I had an email from a friend from our old church this morning and that was a blessing. And the sun is shining outside. Like you say, it's not alway the material things.

My heart goes out to you ladies. I can only imagine how hard this must be. It's always had when those we love don't share our core values and beliefs. Keep praying and following the Lord. Who knows what He has in store and when.

Raising Great Kids, and Having a Great Marriage - Blog Entry

No worries. I just thought I should clarify the confusion. I read the article not because it was part of the Fathers blog but because the title caught my eye. Apparently I was named after the heroine of a novel my mother was reading before I was born which she claimed was 'the loveliest story she had ever read.' I only wish I knew what the book was. She' s no longer alive to ask. If you're interested there's a larger photo of me on my website www.daleharcombe.com

You can see some of the poems from it at www.daleharcombe.com The author is not familiar to me of this detective series, Tristi, I'll have to look her up and see if she's in our library. If you enjoyed it there's a good cance I might too as we are often on a similar wave length.

Scents and Sensuality - Blog Entry

I always wear perfume. It's part of who I am. Perfume is such an individual thing. My husband and family sometimes buy it for me and I love it when they do, but usually only ones they know I wear, Body Shop, Anaya and Dewberry or Estee Lauder - Pleasures, Beautiful. They are all I wear these days. For year when younger I only ever wore Norman Hartnell's In Love which used to come in tiny vials with stockings as well as in the prefume counter of stores. But then it disappeared. The same with another Yardley perfume which was Sweet Pea.
