Angry and Helpless as My Mom Loses It - Blog Entry

28 Mar 2008 04:48 PM

Courtney, my heart goes out to you. I understand that anger and helplessness. I nursed my Mom as she was dying of cancer and felt both those emotions. I was angry at everyone including God for making her suffer and for taking her away , angry at the drugs for the way they changed her and robbed us of time together, angry at feeling helpless etc. I've linked to this blog in http://christian.families.com/blog/tell-them-before-its-too-late

Too Many Baby Boomers are Facing Alzheimer's - Blog Entry

Do You Prefer a Gentleman? - Blog Entry

I don't mind admitting I'm old a fasioned enough to like the attention of doors being opned etc and I always feel proud of my husband when he does it for me or any other woman or helps her with a pram up or down stairs etc. When guys do things for me I smile and say thank you. I don't have a problem with any of the points raised except I would object to some guy ordering for me unless I had told them beforehand what I wanted.

What I like is that you have really thought about how to make parenting work and not taken the easy option. I have linked to it in my blog http://christian.families.com/blog/laziness-part-2-in-parenting

Hey Tristi, don't be us grandparents down. ( grin) I'm a grandparent and I loved it! Of course it's not a movie I'd watch with the grandkids who are only young. John Cusack is a great actor.

Eli's Sons - Blog Entry

That's excatly it. Seems Eli was not diligent in training his sons when they were children and they grew up thinking they could do as they liked. I've used this example in http://christian.families.com/blog/laziness-part-2-in-parenting
