In contrast my husband would be happy to tell anyone he enjoyed the two movies we saw recently 'Enchanted' and '27 Dresses.' Healthy Foods You May Not Eat - Blog Entry05 Feb 2008 09:24 PM I have to say we eat a lot of fish, vegetables -especially broccoli and caluflower and lentils and beans. Of course for all the positives of the foods you mentioned and I agree there are many, some people might still react negatively. I know someone who cannot eat honey in any form as it causes tinnitus so badly it is like having a steam train inside her head. Men who are secure in their manhood don't feel this bizarre need to put their wives down. It's not something my husband does. Instead he's more likely to encourage and praise me in front of others, as well as when we're alone. I do the same with him and my friends. I always knew he was one in a million. The Phantom of the Opera (2004) - Blog Entry03 Feb 2008 03:20 PM I first saw Phantom on stage with Rob Guest as the Phantom and loved it. Of course it helps that I love the music to start with. The movie gives a slightly darker view of the Phantom and is different in ways that cinema is different to live theatre. I also enjoyed this and own the DVD of it. But when Phantom came on again in Melbourne my daughter and I flew down as we wanted to see Anthony Warlow, one of our favourite singers, in the part. Unfortunately it did not work out as planned. But that 's another story. I also write out my prayers in quiet time. That helps to keep me focused. I've written a blog 'Blackout' about the problems of needing to staying connected to our power source- Jesus. Getting Bestsellers for Free - Blog Entry30 Jan 2008 08:06 PM I'd be lost without my library, even though on bestsellers out time was only 2 weeks. I can't imagine a workd without libraries. The other way of getting some of the bestsellers is to offer to review them for publishers. I review books on a regular basis. Sometimes publishers here in Australia anyway, have a newsletter and I've won several bestsellers by writing 25-50 words about why I want to read that book . I won one of Jodi Picoults (an author I love to read) that way. Walk the Line (2005) - Blog Entry22 Jan 2008 05:39 PM We saw this at the movies and my husband and I just watched it again on DVD recently. I think it's a very powerful movie. A shame it didn't take it further and show more then of his walk with God. I have a record called The Gospel Road by Johnny Cash which tells the story of Jesus. Cash's gritty voice is so suited to the story being told. That is also powerful. But in a different way.
