Making Decisions with God's Guidance - Blog Entry

29 Oct 2007 12:54 PM

Good points. Hasty decisions often end up being wrong ones. That's why we're taking it slow, settling in and praying about where God wants us and what He wants us to do in the church. We know from past experience this is the way that works best. Then we end up in the role that is made for us and get satisfaction from doing the job God has called us to. Dale www.daleharcombe.com

What Value Do You Put On Family? - Blog Entry

06 Oct 2007 02:30 PM

Thanks for the comments. You're right about it being hard sometimes but oh so worth it! As I look at my adult offspring and the relationship my husband and I have with them, we know we made the right choice. And God has ensured we have not missed out on anything good, as we are now living in this beautiful part of Australia when we never would have expected to live on the coast. Right now, I'm looking forward to our daughter coming down for a few days together.

Need Vs. Want - Blog Entry

Hang in there. No-one ever said parenting was easy. But it's worth it! Our children often went without certain things growing up but when they grew up they realised they got the most important thing - our time. I've linked to your blog on my latest blog 'What Value do you put on Family?' Dale

Madeleine L'Engle 1918-2007 - Blog Entry

30 Sep 2007 11:59 PM

I've been a great Madeline L'Engle fan for many years since I read her Austin series books and A Wrinkle in Time etc when my children were young. Since then I have collected many of her books. As a writer myself, one of my favorites is Walking on Water and I loved the Crosswick Journals. Even though at times I didn't agree with the conclusuions she came to, it didn't matter. What I liked was the way she made me think about an issue for myself and decide what I believed. Dale www.daleharcombe.com

Thanks Tristi for the welcome back. The arm is still sore. Some things I still can't do with it. I have been undergoing physio to help regain mobility so it is getting better though. I've got a blog idea about that and lessons learned from it all. Regards, Dale www.daleharcombe.com
