Kudos! I now have a fantastic summer project! Keeping Things in Balance - Blog Entry24 Mar 2007 08:07 AM I have two elementary school age daughters, husband, home business and huge extended family - I too, feel like it all just runs together in chaos! I will give you some input from someone's whose mother got married when we were teens (my sister and I). I understand it has got to be lonely because sometimes the girls want to hang out with you and sometimes they are gone or want you to be gone. Been there. When my mom got married, she really tried to put a square peg in a round hole - he does not fit in our family (liar, mean to kids, shifty) and she's been acting like everything is happy ever after for 20 years! Keep up the good work, mom, stay in the battle for your long term relationship with those girls. They love you and will come back to the nest once they've figured out how good mom makes it at home. My husband's mother raised 7 kids all by herself for 3-15 year olds and when she was done raising kids started dating. She did not remarry but talks fondly of her later dating period as a time when the kids did not need her anymore. I think one theme I hear from her is that she really enjoyed her work. I do too and so I try to be like her and deal with the chaos for a while. I think my mom's work was overwhelming for her so she decided to find a spouse to help. Hmm. Well, there's just my 2 cents. Have a great day! Do Reusable Coffee Filters Save Money? - Blog Entry20 Mar 2007 10:32 PM I totally forgot until I read this blog but we use a french press and no more coffee filters. Hmm. 1 2 |
