25 Aug 2006 04:35 PM An Enchanted RoseYou can make you own beautiful rose that will last forever. You Will Need: 4 oz. (125g) paper cup, Red food dye, Hole punch, Green chenille stern (pipe cleaner), 7 coffee filters, and Newspaper Directions: 1. Fill the paper cup half full with water. Add five drops of red food dye. 2. Fold each of the filters tightly and dip each into the red water. Lay them flat on the newspaper to dry. 3. Once dry, stack the filters on top of each other. 4. Punch two holes in the middle, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart. Do this by folding the filters in half and making one punch about 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) from the middle. When unfolded, the two holes will be about an inch (2.5 cm) apart. 5. Thread the end of the chenille stem up throught on hole and down through the other. Twist the end of the chenille stem around itself to secure in place, and bend the middle into a leaf. 6. Starting with the middle filter, scrunch up the edges of each of the filters.
