Best Ever Popcorn Balls

This is a really wonderful recipe for popcorn balls.  I really loved popcorn balls when i was younger for halloween or christmas.  You can use food coloring on the popcorn to make it more festive for the holiday's.  It is a really great snack for kids too.

5  Quarts popped popcorn

3/4 Cup corn syrup 1/4 cup butter or margarine 2 teapoon cold water 2 5/8 cups confectioner's sugar 1 cup chopped marshmallows or mini marshmallows

  1. Line a large baking sheet/s with waxed paper.
  2. Place the popped popcorn into a large heat-proof bowl.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat combine the corn syrup, butter or margarine, cold water, confectioners sugar and chopped marshmallows; heat and stir until the mixture comes to a boil; remove from heat then carefully pour the hot mixture in with the popped popcorn.
  4. Mix with a wooden spoon to combine, carefully coating each kernel.
  5. Grease you hands with Crisco shortening, then quickly shape the coated popcorn into balls.
  6. Place on a baking sheet.

ENJOY!
