Ahoy. matey! Captin Hook is always looking for more hands on deck to help catch Peter Pan. Build this pirate ship to shoe the Captin that your're no landlubber! You Will Need: 2 milk cartons, 2 straws, Clay, Black, white, and yellow construction paper, Glue, Saftey scissors, Tape, Pencil, Markers (optional) Directions: Step 1: Tape a piece of black construction paper about halfway up the first mil carton, on both sides. tape a piece of black construction paper all the way up the back of the same milk carton, leaving about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of paper sticking up over the carton. Step 2: Tape white construction paper over the rest of the same milk carton. Glue two balls of clay in the middle of the ship. Step 3: Cut a 2- to 3-inch (5- to 7.5-cm) piece off the bottom fo the second milk carton. tape it onto the ship, upside down, covering the clay. With a pencil, poke two holes in it, right about the clay balls. Cover the sides of this upside down carton with white construction paper; tape in place. Step 4: For sails, cut two large rectangles and two small rectangles from yellow construction paper. Poke two holes in each rectangle with the hole punch and thread one large and one small rectangle onto each straw. Stick the end of each straw through a hole in the top of the ship and into the clay. Step 5: Draw a door, windows, and portholes with markers or cut them out of yellow construction paper and glue them to ship. As a final touch, cut a gangplank from the leftover milk carton pieces or from construction paper and glue to the ship as shown. No comments on this article yet. Be the first to comment!
