This is a really good recipe and another way to get the family to eat them peas that they don't like. 3 cups uncooked wide egg noodles, 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, 1 small onion, finely chopped, 13/4 cups milk, 2 tablespoon cornstarch, 1 cup heavy cream, 1(10oz.) box frozen baby peas (21/2 cups), 4 oz. boiled ham, cut into small cubes (about 1 cup), 1/2 teapsoon salt, Pepper, 1/2 cup chopped pretzels And 1 cup shredded Cheddar Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly butter a 11/2-to2 quart baking dish. Cook noodles according to package directions adn drain in a colander; do not rinse noodles. While noodles cook, melt butter ina large saucepan over medium heat, add onion and cook, stirring, until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir milk and cornstarch together in a large cup; whisk into sauce pan with onion adn cook, whisking, until boiling. Whisk in cream and continue to cook, whisking, until thickened, about 2 minutes. Stir noodles, peas, ham adn salt into sauce misture, season with pepper and scrape into prepared baking dish.
