Making a quilt for the loved one that passed on.

My Grandmother's Neice husband got killed at the beginging of this year.  When he passed away she did not want to get rid of any of his clothes but she felt like she had to do something to move on.  So she got on the internet and found out that she could make a quilt with her husband's shirts.  I am not quite sure how you make the quilt but i know that you take the shits with the designs and cut the desgins out and you put a strip of clothe on the back of it and then you tack all the peices together.  I think that this is a really good way to remember your loved ones that have passed on and you don't have to get rid of any of there clothes. 

I don't know how it feels to loose your husband but my grandfather passed away last year and i know that it was really hard to say goodbye.  I know that having a quilt like that would be a really great way to remember him or any other loved one that has passed on.  I would have never thought about taking my loved one's clothes and make something so great.
