Thanksgiving center piece

Set the scene for your thanksgiving dinner with a stunning table centerpiece.  These creations use easy-to-find materials and won't take long to assemble, so you'll have plenty of time to prepare the meal and enjoy the occasion.

Match flowerpots with flowers

You'll need: Paint, Paintbrush, Terra-cotta flowerpots, flowers, plastic cups, Ribbon, and Double-sided tape

Paint flowerpots and let dry.  Arrange flowers in water-filled plastic cups and place in painted pots.  Wrap matching ribbon around each pot and tie in a bow.  use small pieces of double-sided tape to keep dthe ribbon from slipping.

Give candles a seasonal look

You'll Need: Rubber bands, Candle holders, leaves, Gringham ribbon (any ribbon that you want to use) and candles

Place a rubber band around a candleholder and arrange leaves under rubber band.  Cover it with ribbon and tie a bow.  Drop in candle.  Line several votive candleholders along length of table or group various sizes on a napkin-lined tray in center of table.

Transforming drinking glasses into candlesticks

Put old glasses to good use by recycling them as classy candleholders.  Simply turn a coolection of glasses upside down and cluster them on a pretty napkin.  Finish by placing a small candle on top of each glass.  *For a visually appealing arrangement, vary the height of the glasses you use.  Wine or sherry glasses with pretty stems work best; don't use slim glasses that can tople easily.

Dress up a simple pitcher

You'll Need: Set of matching napkins and Pitchers

Fold a napkin in half diagonally to make a triangle.   Roll folded edge down until trangle is same height, from rolled edge to opposite point, as the pitcher.  Wrap napkin around pitcher and tie about handle.

Beautify a plan basket

You'll Need: Large safety pin, Ribbons, Apple basket, Flowers, vase or bowl and pebbles.

Attach a large safety pin to end of ribbon and use it to weave ribbon between vertical basket slats.  If desired, tie ribbon ends into an oversize bow.  Use an assortment of ribbons in a variety of complementary textures, shades and patterns, but stick to one color palette in floral bouquet.  Arrange flowers in a vase and place vase in basket.  If vase isn't tall enough, place pebbles in bottome of basket to extend vase's height.
