It's fun to collect seashells. It's even more fun to use them to create these boxes. You can fill the boxes with precious treasures. What You Need: Different-shaped Boxes, Small Seashells, White Glue, Colored Sand, Varnish, Paintbrushes What To Do: 1. Spread glue on the four sides fo the bos. Use a paintbrush to smooth the glue out. 2. Sprinkle the colored sand onto the gluey areas. Do this over a newspaper to catch the sand that doesn't stick. Make sure the sand completely covers. 3. Spread the glue smooths the top of the box. Smooth out the glue, but keep it rather thick. 4. While the glue is sitll wet, press the seashells into the glue. Make a nice decoration. 5. Let the box dry thoroughly. Then paint the shells with the coat fo varnish, to give them a shiny finish. 6. Now fill your little treasure chest! *You could put something else on top and make it match with the decore of the kids room.* beannie842002 (1396) 25 Aug 2006 01:33 PMThis is a really cool way to store little girls hair bows, or jewlery. DianeScraps (4230) 25 Aug 2006 01:34 PMGreat info! I didn't realize you could do that with regular white glue! beannie842002 (1396) 01 Nov 2006 09:50 PMIt does seem really strange that regular glue will hold like that but it does.
