Use these BRAIN tips to minimize stress....

     

B reathe

As soon as you start to feel stressed, take three to five deep breaths.  It'll give you a brief time out and keep you from acting impulsively.

R elax

While you breathe, repeat to yourself the word "relax" or another pleasant-sounding word.  This helps reduce muscle tension and fatigue.

A sk, "How would i rather be feeling?"

A postive question like this evokes calm, serene anwsers.  Those feeling often become reality - you are what you think.

I magine feeling....

Calm, powerful, content, in control...and remember a time when you felt that way.  Your body will respond to those memories as though they're happening now!

N otice the change

If you've done these simple thought exercises, you'll have turned a difficult situation into a smoothign one.  Reward yourself!
