People keep asking me how i care for my skin or what products i use. so i thought i should pen it down now.. no need to keep repeating again & again.. :) ) perhaps the sharing can benefit others too..

I have always been lucky to have good skin.. yet, there was, once upon a time because of allergy reaction to a certain “nano techonology” of skin care product, my skin have been diagnosed as “sensitive skin”. Over the years, i realised it became even more sensitive due hair care products, certain ingredients… (which i can’t tell) so i have to go very mild on the products.. & be very alert to any reactions. Enzema didn’t help either.

Nobody believes me i have all these problems with my skin, when i tell them so. Over the years & experiences in trial & error, i decided to just go back to basics. i.e.

    my morning routine.
    1) exercise – (the sweat will help alleviate toxins plus it leaves a healthy looking glow on my complexion) my 10-15 minutes routine for every part of the body.
    2) natural hot steam from ironing/ or from the hot water that i store up in my pot every morning.. (believe it or not)
    3) drink at least 2 glasses of water in the morning with empty stomach
    4) fruits – like oranges & apples/ plums in the morning empty stomach.. i do not blend….
    5) masque – if you have the time – (10 mins only)
    i) with aloe vera on your face/hair.. or
ii) alternatively with egg-white (which i learnt from a client)
iii) or when i have leftovers from over riped papayas mix with some oats..
    iv) or grapes
    v) or bananas..
try it.. it’s so dirt cheap but the goodness is so pure & immediate, without chemicals on the skin (warning: it can get a bit messy though)

    6) shower, i wash off skin with just water.. then tone, and then moisturise.

    7) I do not believe in using sun block, even though it makes my skin look very very nice.. (like BB creme) however, i do realise that after using, the skin does get uneven coloured and dry… even my moisturiser has no sun block on it.

    Products
    Toner : Amway, time defiance.
Moisturise: Extend Life Day Creme / Jurlique Balancing Day Creme. depending on my mood.

    my night routine

    1) wash skin with foaming cleanser..

    2) Tone

    3) Moisturise

    4) Tea Tree Oil for any enzema/ scars…

    Products
    Cleanser: Bio Dermie Foaming Cleanser
    Toner : Amway, Time Defiane
    Moisturiser : Extend Night Creme
Tea Tree Oil. ( can get it over the counter anywhere)

    Once a week, I do scrub ( i think it’s Amway exfoliante) without fail for a good 1 minute… then masque…

If you see, my cleansing routine is pretty simple.. in fact, it takes some time getting used to it cause i realised that all the foundation, BB creme, powder only clogs up your pores and gives the skin an uneven tone plus, i feel that it eats up my skin colour… all my white heads disappeared.. and now, i have very few blackheads too..

Food is also the other factor of good skin.. take more vegetables, less meat, and of course, try to drink 8 glasses of water to keep the skin moist always. I’m glad i do not like to drink coffee/ tea except, green tea.. i do not fancy alcohol and dislike smoking.. so… there you are… to sum it all.. it’s quite easy… everything is more of common sense… just whether we want to do it or not, yeah?

The most important thing, is GOOD SLEEP…. I try my level best to sleep at 11.30pm latest… and wake up at 6.30am.

Of course, if we finally can’t, then we are still blessed with foundations… layers of cover ups… concealers and creams , powders to still make the skin look fine & smooth when we’re out there… only we have to do it all the time.. and we do not feel the confidence walking out without all the make up…

I’m done.. I’m done… Maybe you would like to add some other natural remedies … we can share with each other and benefit others too….

Thanks for sharing such a great info.
Also, there are some other way to take care of your skin like,Every night, and morning, take a wash cloth get it wet on one corner. Using only water, scrub kinda lightly all around your face. It will take away the dead skin cells, and exfoliate and make your skin soft! Also pinch your checks before you leave the house in the morning. Also, exercise, eat right, drink lots of water, go to sleep at a reasonable time… NO NEED FOR EXPENSIVE PRODUCTS.
Your skin will look great in no time! :)

Thanks for sharing such an informative post.
One of the most common precautions when it comes to skin care is avoiding too much exposure to the sun. Over exposure to sunlight causes sunburn. So, while current sun blocks only block out the UVB rays and still let in harmful UVA rays. If possible, use a wide hat while tending your garden to keep the sun from your face.

Great info. Aside from what you’ve said you can also use oatmeal lotion. Sometimes we are having a problem on our skin because of its dryness. Oatmeal lotion combined with oatmeal soap gives you a relaxing and mild sense to nourished your skin without any side effect. It is a natural way.
