30 Mar 2009 03:48 PM Children's Toys? Many of the toys developed and sold on today's market target a specific age range, either for safety or cognitive value. As the child develops through each stage of life, the toy appropriate for the developmental stage changes. I am particularly interested in knowing what toys are most appealing to a newborn child (until about 5 months). If I remember correctly they are mostly attracted to toys with red "designs". Toys for a child this age are also soft and have little to no parts that could possibly detach (due to the fact that the child is in an "oral" stage of development and will most likely put anything in their mouth) What toy was your child first attracted to and until what age did they enjoy this toy? Were these toys any specific color, or did they make noise? No comments on this article yet. Be the first to comment! Discuss this article
