We are no longer entering the dollar signs when adding coupon values. This is the right way in which coupons need to be entered into the database: Enter the amount of the coupon, the way you would write money, but do not include the dollar sign. Remembering to get the rain checks is the hardest part! 24 hours isn't much time at all to go and pick up an item. I've personally never heard of a store that did that, but there are all kinds of stores, with all kinds of policies, and ways of doing things. I don't really think any one chain of stores is better or worse than anyone else regarding rain checks or coupons. Because of where I live, I have two or more of almost every store within 10 miles of me. What I have found, in my experience, is that it depends on the individual store. Some stores will bend over backwards to make you happy and to keep you coming back, while that same store, but in a different location might act as if they could care less if you ever came back.
