Walking into a camera shop is definitely a kid in a candy store feeling for me. I was surprised for a Sunday afternoon the camera shop was actually very busy. Several people were picking up photos, a couple of people were sitting at computers editing photos and the counter staff was helping a few other customers. With the internet it is so easy to shop at home in my pajamas but every now and then I like to touch and feel the item before I buy it. Not to mention I can get the item the same day instead of waiting on the little brown truck.
I am quite the photo frame junkie but managed to pass by the wide selection of photo frames. Of course it did help that my husband was keeping a close eye on me. I was amazed at the wide variety of camera bags and totes. The point and shoot camera manufacturers have the cutest camera totes that look like mini pocket sized purses. They were available in some of the coolest colors. The pink soft sided tote really caught my eye. I will do a little research and see what other options are out there before I make that purchase.
Personally I like to buy my items at a store that specializes in my product whenever possible. Do your research ahead of time so you have a good idea what features area available and your price range. Then let their store staff earn their pay and have them confirm exactly what you need before investing the money. Especially when your purchase involves a significant amount of money and technology combined it is wise to get an expert opinion.
We found the new filter I wanted, a six pointed star for my long zoom lens. Now it is time to do a little research on the cute pink camera tote. With Valentine’s Day just a few short weeks away I need to start dropping hints soon.
