All About Me: From The Beginning

A great way to start your All About Me album is to include information from your birth. That almost seems explanatory, but many scrapbookers forget to include those pages about themselves.

It could be the first page in the entire album, or you could use the first page as a dedication page, and then create a two page layout on the following pages, depicting information and photos from your birth.

Don’t worry if you don’t have any photographs to accompany the information, the journaling itself can serve as a perfect page by itself. But if you do have photographs from that time period, include one or two. It’s fun to look at ourselves as infants, and it will be fun for your children and future generations to see what “mom or dad” or “grandma or grandpa” or even “great great grandma or grandpa” looked like when she (or he) was born.

Some cute titles for this could be:

  • From the Beginning
  • My Beginnings
  • The Day I was Born
  • How It All Began
  • How I Became Me
  • The Start of Me

Include any information you have from the day you were born. The information that is good to have is:

  • Full Name
  • Date you were born
  • Time you were born
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Hospital
  • Apgar Score (if you know it)

Doing a “The Day I was Born” page with information about current events that were going on at that time, who was president, the price of gas and milk, and other information is a great way to conclude this page.

A great source for this information is: www.dmarie.com. Click on the link and follow it to “Inspiration” and you will have more than enough information to fill up a “All About Me: From The Beginning” scrapbook layout.

Remember to include information about what was popular at that time:

  • Music
  • TV shows
  • Movies
  • Actors and Actress’
  • Sports Figures
  • Politicians
  • and more.

Creating a scrapbook page in a time capsule format is a lot of fun. Preserve that time in history for your children and your future generations by creating this layout. Have fun!
