Asparagus Ala Asia
So yummy and so good for you! Can also be made with brocolli if you prefer.
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 lbs fresh asparagus
2 tsp vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
1 pinch sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp sesame seed oil
1 tbs reduced sodium soy sauce
1 tbs oyster sauce
1 tbs dry sherry
2 tsp rice wine vinegar
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
2 tbs green onions, chopped
DIRECTIONS:
1. Cut asparagus into 2″ pieces.
2. Heat oil in wok or large skillet over high heat.
3. Add asparagus, stir fry for 1 minute.
4. Add water & sugar to the asparagus, cover and steam for 2 minutes.
5. Combine the remaining ingredients.
6. Uncover wok and add remaining ingredients and cook for 1 minute, stirring to coat the asparagus with the spice mixture. Serve immediately.
