Autumn Beef with Apples
Great autumn dish.
INGREDIENTS:
3 tbs vegetable oil
2 lb beef steaks
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup diced apple
6 tbs pure maple syrup
2 tbs butter
1 tsp chopped fresh cilantro
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a large skillet heat oil and sauté steak. While cooking, sprinkle with salt and pepper. When steak is cooked to your liking, pour off any excess oil.
2. Stir in broth and apple; simmer for 2 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and stir in maple syrup, butter and cilantro. Divide steak among serving plates and pour sauce on top to serve.
