Baby, Baby: Born Today

For Babies Born Today:

  • Happy Birthday!
  • Your baby’s birthstone is Peridot or Jade (Married Happiness)
  • Your baby’s Astrological Sign is Leo
  • Your baby’s Flower is Gladiola or Poppy (Orange, Red and Light Green)
  • Your baby was born in the Chinese Year of The Dog
  • Your baby will start kindergarten in 2011, be old enough to drive a car in 2022, finish high school in 2024, and will graduate from college with the class of 2028, give or take a year. Can you imagine?

On This Day In History:

Jesse Owens won his fourth gold medal at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. He won it in the 4×100 relay and set a world record with his team that lasted more than 20 years. This was a great day in sports history and we’ll reflect more on that in the Fitness blog, but your son or daughter can be proud of their birthday in history as a blow against Nazi propaganda.

On This Day in the Future

Five years from today, you will be getting ready for your son or daughter to start Kindergarten. Most states require the child turn 5 prior to September 1. So in five years, you will be getting ready to dive into the school marathon. Savor the next five years as your baby grows, develops and becomes the little person that they are.

Was your baby born on August 9?
