Beach Theme Background Paper

left

With much of the nation baking under record high temperatures, it’s no surprise that area beaches are packed to the gills. After all, who doesn’t enjoy soaking up the sun, sand and surf?

Whether you are visiting the sea solo, or you are there with your entire clan, a trip to the beach is a memorable occasion. In fact, beach-themed layouts are extremely popular with summer scrapbooking fans who want to preserve the season’s highlights. Photos of family members burying each other in the sand, surfing, frolicking in white wash, collecting shells or watching the sunset make great additions to a beach-themed layout. In addition, you can purchase or make a slew of embellishments to further enhance a day in paradise.

However, one of my favorite ways to make a beach-themed layout pop is to create my own background paper. Rather than simply use a plain blue or sand-colored base for my page design, I prefer to select a neutral shade, and then decorate it with popular beach phrases, such as:

“In every drop of water, there is a story of life.”

“If love was water, I’d give you the sea.”

“If you are lucky enough to be at the beach… then you are lucky enough.”

“Life is good at the beach.”

“In every grain of sand is the story of the earth.”

“Life is like a stroll on the beach… as near to the edge as possible.”

“Ocean treasures left on the shore is nature’s gift to adore.”

“Our memories of the ocean will linger on long after our footprints in the sand.”

“The cure for everything is saltwater.”

“Summer is best when the waves kiss your feet and the sand is your seat.”

“Once the sea casts its spell it holds one in its net of wonder forever.”

“The tide is always turning.”

“The voice of the sea speaks to the soul.”

If you have the time and talent, you could handwrite the phrases on your background paper or you could simply choose a whimsical font and print the sayings over and over on a piece of paper using your home computer.
