Black Friday shopping requires a game plan. You need to plan out your budget, figure out which items are on sale at what stores, and decide when you want to start shopping. Here is a quick list of the hours that stores will be open this Black Friday.
Target will open its doors at midnight on Black Friday, November 25, 2011. The store is going to be closed on Thanksgiving Day, (technically), after being open until 11:00 at night on Wednesday, November 23, 2011.
Best Buy is having a “Door Busters” sale. This store will open its doors at Midnight on Friday, November 25, 2011. They are planning on passing out tickets up to two hours before the store’s doors will open. If you absolutely must get a specific item from Best Buy this year, then your best chance is to get into this line as early as possible.
Walmart is having three different sales this week. The toy sale starts on Thanksgiving Day, at 10:00 at night. This sale will continue through Black Friday, November 25, 2011, “all day”.
Walmart’s official Black Friday sale starts on Friday, November 25, 2011, at 12:01 in the morning. (In other words, one minute after midnight on Thursday, November 24, 2011, Thanksgiving night). They also have a sale on tires that will start on Black Friday, at 8:00 in the morning.
Sears is having an “After Thanksgiving Doorbusters” sale which will begin at 4:00 in the morning on Friday, November 25, 2011. This sale will last until 1:00 in the afternoon that same day. Sears is also doing “2 Day Specials” on Friday, November 25, 2011, through Saturday, November 26, 2011.
Kmart is calling their sale “Blue Friday”, instead of Black Friday. I assume this has something to do with Kmart’s iconic “Blue Light Special”. Their current ads feature an animated blue light, wearing a Santa hat. Kmart will be open at 5:00 in the morning on Friday, November 25, 2011. This sale will continue through 11:00 in the morning on that same day.
On Saturday, November 26, 2011, Kmart will have a “Super Hot Prices” sale. It will begin at 6:00 in the morning, and will end at noon on the same day.
Kohl’s is calling their sales this week “Happy ThankSAVING Days”. Kohl’s opened it’s doors at 7:00 in the morning on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. This sale will continue through midnight.
On Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2011, Kohl’s will still be open, (from the sale that was going on the day before). The store will remain open on Thanksgiving, for the “Earlybird Specials” sale. That sale will end on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 1:00 in the afternoon. This will overlap with their Black Friday sale, which will start at 3:00 in the morning on Friday, November 25, 2011, and continue through 1:00 in the afternoon on that same day.
