Celebrities And Their Babies—The Newest Additions

Paging “Dr. McDreamy” fans… yesterday your favorite “Grey’s Anatomy” star donned scrubs in real life to welcome his family’s newest additions—twin boys. According to news reports, actor Patrick Dempsey and wife Jillian are now the proud parents of twins, named Darby Galen and Sullivan Patrick. The boys join 4-year-old sister Talula in the Dempsey household.

Did you happen to see Dempsey on the cover of LIFE Magazine a few weeks back? He posed with his head resting on his wife’s pregnant belly. I looked at the shot and couldn’t believe that she was carrying TWO babies.

In the LIFE article he made a comment about how fatherhood has changed him. It read: “Now, making money is about providing for my children. And being a father makes you look at yourself. You look at your marriage and go, ‘How do I improve this? How do I keep growing and create a stable environment for my children?’ ”

Former “Saturday Night Live” regular and current “Weeds” star, Kevin Nealon could be asking himself the same question now that he is a first time daddy. According to PEOPLE magazine, Nealon’s wife, actress Susan Yeagley, gave birth to their first child, son Gable Ness Nealon, on Monday in California.

A few days earlier in New York TV, psychic John Edward (he stars in his own TV show on WE: Women’s Entertainment) and his wife Sandra welcomed their second child. Edward’s rep told news reporters that the baby girl, Olivia Gabriella, is doing well. She joins 4-year-old brother, Justin.

Finally, actress Amy Locane (best known for her roles in “Cry Baby,” “ School Ties,” and “Melrose Place,”) begins the new year as a new mom. According to PEOPLE magazine, Paige Cricket Locane Bovenizer was born on January 23rd, at 9:40 p.m. in Princeton, New Jersey. She weighed in at 6 lbs. 5 oz. Locane currently lives in New Jersey (where she grew up) with her wine specialist fiancé.
