Celebrities Celebrating New Life

Hollywood’s baby boom keeps sounding…

The latest members of Tinseltown’s elite welcoming new life into the world include actress Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon and husband Michael Nilon. The well-connected couple welcomed twin boys last week, according to their publicist.

Jax Joseph Nilon was born at 8:30 p.m. on October 18th and weighed 4 lbs. 7 oz., and Jaid Thomas Nilon was born at 8:31 p.m. and weighed 4 lbs. 9 oz. The twins reportedly came five weeks prior to their scheduled due date, but according to Beauvais-Nilon, her new sons are healthy and “just gorgeous.”

The new additions were born in Los Angeles and join the actress’s 15-year-old son from a previous marriage.

And when it comes time for the baby boys to make their big public debut don’t expect them to be wearing matching outfits. In a recent interview with TV’s “Access Hollywood,” Beauvais-Nilon said she was determined to establish each twin’s own identity and refuses to dress them alike.

New dad Anthony Kiedis won’t have to worry about his son’s wardrobe attracting too much attention because people will likely be too busy buzzing about the infant’s name.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers singer and his girlfriend Heather Christie welcomed son Everly Bear into the world earlier this month. The new bundle of joy is reportedly healthy and, according to his rocker dad, “has a great set of lungs.”

As for the baby’s unusual name, Kiedis told reporters at a recent celebrity fundraiser, it was musically inspired.

“We had a long list of names, but I suppose it came to me by way of the Everly Brothers, which is one of my favorite bands,” Kiedis said. “And sometimes last names make good first names.”

The origin of Everly’s middle name was less musically inspired.

“The mama came up with Bear,” Kiedis said. “That made sense to me because he’s from me and I feel like I’m part of the bear clan, and I think it’s nice to have a little bit of earth in your name.”

Kiedis doesn’t have to convince model turned actress Gretchen Mol that unique names are the way to go.

Mol and her husband, director Tod Williams just became parents to a new son they named Ptolemy John Williams.
The 34-year-old new mom didn’t elaborate on her son’s name, but did tell reporters that he is “beautiful.”
