Celebrity Baby Boom Continues

Hollywood heavyweights have been adding to their families and are only too happy to share the news with their adoring fans.

Joey McIntyre—Whether you loved him as a former New Kids on the Block singer or as a season-one “Dancing With the Stars” contestant (or not at all) McIntyre is prepping to take on a new role—first time father.

According to his website, McIntyre and his wife, Barrett, are expecting a child by the end of the year. The singer met his 28-year-old wife when she sold him his first house back in 2002 (he was her first client). The couple got married on August 9, 2003 (809 also happens to be the address of the home his wife sold him) at New York’s Plaza Hotel. I’m surprised the couple didn’t plan the birth of their child around the numbers 8 and 9.

Drea de Matteo—The actress (she starred opposite Matt LeBlanc on NBC’s “Friends” spin-off “Joey”) and her boyfriend of six years Shooter Jennings are expecting their first child. Jennings who is eight years Matteo’s junior is a musician and son of the late country legend Waylon Jennings.

While those couples get used to the fact that they will soon be responsible for another human being other stars are adjusting to their new reality—having newborns that don’t sleep through the night.

Dwyane Wade—It’s unclear if the Miami Heat guard is on diaper duty, but he is a proud daddy nonetheless. According to his website, Wade and his wife Siohvaughn, welcomed a son, Zion, in Chicago on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old basketball star writes that his new son—Zion weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces and measured 21 inches long. Zion joins older brother Zaire—the Wade’s 5-year-old son.

Connie Nielsen and Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich—The star couple also recently added to their family. According to Nielsen’s, publicst the couple welcomed their first child together, a son they named Bryce Thadeus Ulrich-Nielsen. He was born on May 21st.

The 42-year-old “Gladiator” actress told the Danish newspaper BT, “We are ecstatic. Everything is fine with him. He is eating, and he’s just so fine.”

Nielsen and Ulrich have been dating for about two years. Nielsen has a 16-year-old son, Sebastian, from a previous marriage; Ulrich is the father of two young sons from a previous marriage.
